Wardley Primary School

Work Together, Believe and Achieve

A very warm welcome...

At Wardley Primary, we are committed to creating a supportive environment, built on care and respect, in which all children are encouraged to believe in themselves and aspire to be the best that they can be.

We are an inclusive school in which adults share the highest expectations of all children. Across all areas of learning, we endeavour to build upon the children's individual personal strengths in order to allow them to fulfil their potential. We want every one of our pupils to believe in their own success, through the promotion of self-belief and determination.

School of Kindness On Monday, we had a visit from Emily who works for the charity 52 lives (www.52-lives.org) and their School of Kindness! We learned that kindness has three qualities – being friendly, generous and considerate. We learnt about the science of kindness and the positive impact it has on our physical and mental health. To put our kindness into action, we thought of someone we knew who could do with a little kindness and then made them something and gave it to them. Finally, we looked at the quote ‘be the change that you want to see in the world’ and decided that we can help to create the kind of world we want to live in.
Y6 Nissan Celebration Event Year 6 had an amazing morning at Nissan, celebrating 10 years of the Nissan Skills Foundation! We’ve been working with Nissan for many years, and we were lucky enough to be one of the few schools invited to this special event. Since its launch ten years ago, the Nissan Skills Foundation has worked with over 100,000 children from across the North East. Today, they set up the biggest production line yet, with over 200 children involved in building Qashqai cars. The atmosphere was full of excitement, with the children dancing, cheering each other on, and even being interviewed by MPs and influencers! A huge thank you to Nissan for hosting such a fantastic event and allowing us to be a part of it!
